Biography

Born in late April 1994 in the foothills of Appalachia. Ashley grew up believing in both the paranormal and supernatural cryptids that reside in her small town of Serenity and the surrounding hills. Her first memory of a paranormal event that happened was in 1998 when she was just four years old. She had walked into the kitchen of her childhood home to get a snack. She proceeded to climb on top of the countertop to get the chocolate chip cookies that were hidden on the top shelf. As she opened the cupboard, the cookie jar flew out of the cabinet and crashed to the linoleum floor. Of course she wasn’t supposed to be in the kitchen, so this alerted her mother to enter the kitchen and catch her red-handed. Not one of her finest moments but it showed her that there were things that happened she could not explain.

 

This led Ashley to study all things paranormal and study the tragic history of Serenity. When she became an adult, she decided to go to her local college, Serenity University. Not only did she receive a bachelor’s degree in journalism, but she also continued on to get a master’s in creative writing. Since graduation and for the past ten years, Ashley has worked for Horror Monthly, an online magazine that specializes in supernatural horror. She has her own column where she investigates haunted and cursed items also called “Ashley Jennings Haunted Things.”
